This is freelance software work. You find and fix a repeatable technical problem for sites that rot after the agency leaves. You get paid about $60–$130/hour, or a two-week audit and then a monthly care retainer. A normal week is scoped tickets, backups, a written definition of done, and a short status note. You do not need a software company. Write every fix down so the fifth client is a checklist, not heroics.
Upwork, direct email, and a portfolio site on a computer you own: $0. First paid gig is often 1–4 weeks with samples; 2–8 weeks from a cold start (Upwork Freelance Forward / SCORE).
Each required material has a matching shop listing — photo, price, and a way to add it to the cart.
